A staggering 1 in every 24 Australians is a member of an Australian football club, however, the AFL aims for a 3 to 4 percent growth in community engagement each year. Ensuring facilities are correctly located in each area is an important aspect in attracting new players and retaining current players around Australia.




In this case study, we show how the AFL worked with Liveli to adopt CARTO as their Location Intelligence platform to localize their strategy by state, structuring player and facility data alongside demographic data to understand the sport’s market penetration and identify areas for improvement.
